What to Expect at Aequora
Beginning psychotherapy is a meaningful step. At Aequora, care is provided through integrative, clinically grounded psychotherapy designed to support emotional insight, regulation, and long-term integration.
Sessions are collaborative, paced, and tailored to your therapeutic goals. Whether you engage in ongoing psychotherapy or a focused depth intensive, care is structured to support thoughtful exploration within a professional therapeutic container.
Before Your First Session
Prior to your appointment, you will receive:
- A secure electronic intake and consent packet
- Orientation information about telehealth sessions
- Instructions for accessing your session platform
- Guidance on how to prepare and what to expect
Your initial evaluation allows us to clarify goals, review relevant history, and determine the most supportive therapeutic approach based on clinical need and readiness.
What Sessions Are Like
Sessions are thoughtful, grounded, and guided by clinical care.
You can expect:
- A calm, clinically guided environment
- Space for reflection and emotional processing
- Gentle attention to body sensations and nervous system responses
- Optional experiential techniques such as imagery or focused attention
- Collaborative goal setting and integration support
You will never be pressured to share more than feels safe. Hypnosis-informed techniques are always optional and used only when clinically appropriate. You remain aware and in control throughout every session.
How Therapy Typically Progresses
While each client’s journey is unique, many experience therapy in stages:
Beginning Sessions
Building rapport, clarifying goals, and understanding current challenges.
Middle Sessions
Working more directly with emotional patterns, symptoms, or specific therapeutic goals.
Later Sessions
Integration, reflection, and consolidating changes so they carry into daily life.
Progress unfolds at a pace that respects your nervous system and readiness.
Ways of Working Together
Aequora offers two therapeutic pathways:
Tier 1 — Integrative Psychotherapy
Ongoing integrative psychotherapy with session frequency determined collaboratively based on clinical need and therapeutic goals.
This option is well suited for individuals seeking:
• Consistent emotional support
• Gradual insight and growth
• Skill development and coping strategies
• Open-ended relational therapy
Tier 2 — Hypnosis-Informed Depth Intensives
A focused, time-limited psychotherapy series designed to support deeper emotional processing and structured therapeutic engagement.
This option is designed for individuals who:
- Feel stuck in long-standing emotional or relational patterns
- Have tried traditional therapy and want deeper resolution
- Are ready to focus on one primary therapeutic goal
- Are open to experiential, mind–body approaches
- Can commit to a structured series of sessions
Tier 2 is offered as either a 4-session Focused Intensive or a 6-session Extended Intensive, depending on clinical need.
About Hypnosis-Informed Therapy
Hypnosis-informed psychotherapy is a collaborative clinical approach that supports focused attention, internal awareness, and therapeutic engagement. Clients remain fully aware and in control throughout the process. This is not stage hypnosis, and nothing is done to you — the work unfolds through your own internal experience.
These techniques are used within the scope of psychotherapy and only when clinically appropriate.
Telehealth Sessions
All sessions are provided via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth for California residents.
You’ll receive clear instructions prior to your appointment, and your privacy and confidentiality are always prioritized.
What Else to Know
- Therapy is confidential within legal and ethical guidelines
- Session frequency is determined clinically rather than automatically weekly
- Scheduling and cancellation policies are reviewed during intake
- Communication occurs primarily within scheduled sessions
My practice is designed for individuals who are ready to engage actively in their therapeutic process. Services are provided via private-pay telehealth to California residents. I do not offer crisis or emergency services.
